Shiguanxia

Chinese: 石关峡
Pinyin: Shí guān xiá
English: Rock pass gorge
Coordinates: 39°50'58"N 98°10'46"E

Just south of Xuanbi is the Shiguanxia Great Wall, a spur wall that goes up a mountainside with a fortress at its base. Like Xuanbi, the construction here is new and not necessarily accurate. The span of 0.7 kilometers (0.4 miles) and the fortress was rebuilt in 2002.

Like the Xuanbi Great Wall, Shiguanxia is not necessarily a close representation of how the wall looked when it was originally built. But that does not mean you should not visit Shiguanxia if you're in the area. The wall joins up with the original wall leading southwest towards the Jiayuguan Fortress. And its summit provides excellent views of the surrounding area.
